Welcome to the first ph online community of finch enthusiasts! If you have been breeding finches for some years now or you are a newbie and want to raise finches as pets, then this site is definitely for you.

 FinchMe is all about helping current and would-be finch breeders find finch information directly from established breeders themselves.  This is made possible by building a community of finch lovers and posting finch-related news and information both here in the Philippines and abroad.  It can serve as a venue for Finch pros to share their extensive knowledge on the breeding and raising of these small, colorful and hyperactive birds.   Not only that, newbie breeders are also given the chance to dialogue with the pros by leaving questions and comments on their posts.  Also, the site hopes to feature a breeder once in a while to help with the articles and promote their own line of birds.

A few years ago I walked into a pet shop in Lipa, Batangas and immediately fell in love with these tiny-chirpy birds in cute little cages occupying the front of the store.  I was sure they weren’t lovebirds, and until a few months ago I actually didn’t know what kind of birds they were.  They seem too cute to me then, and I was afraid to buy even the least expensive pair out of ignorance and fear that I might just be unable to take care of them.  Well, I just got my own pair of zebra finches from a friend last week.  In that sense, yes, I’m still a newbie and I hope this site can help me as well.
